1. WoW.exe not using my GPU? Low FPS

    Specs:
    GTX 1070
    Ryzen 5 1600 OC
    16gb RAM

I am having very bad problems with my FPS during raids. Before pulls I am hovering around 170 FPS, but right when we pull i drop down to 30 FPS. When i inspect my GPU, it is only using 5% and no temperature increase.

I have alllll setting on Low

Addons I am using are ElvUI and GRID2.

How do I make sure the game is not running on dedicated graphics instead of my GPU? I have set the wow.exe in the Manage Programs settings of my NVIDIA control panel.

  2. First make sure your monitor is plugged into your gpu and not motherboard

  3. Nah, plugged into the GPU. Thanks for help though.

  4. In BIOS, u can disable onboard integrated graphics, just check ur MB manual.
How is it behaving in crowded Dalaran(lowest fps usually there) or newer games like Battlefield 1 and similar? Those games wont run good with integrated GPU.
Also, WoTLK is superold game that wont use your GPU much, especially on low settings. Set all to max :P.

  5. Make sure to set the graphics card to performance mode (in the NVidia control panel). It's usually set to quality.

If this doesn't help check your CPU readings. Review each core while your drops occur.

  6. I checked it all my graphics card is working like 35% all the time I am on a ryzen system as well. R7 1700@3900mhz 16gb@3200mhz gtx 10606gb and 2560x1080 led display

  7. Maybe try disabling some or all addons and try. FPS drop when suddenly too many objects are created on screen at once. I'm sure some addons are messing around because you specifically mentioned "Raids" etc..
    Worth a shot.

Also, are you playing in Windowed Mode?

    *Edit*
Also, installing latest drivers and Direct X files for your Card might be a possible solution.

  8. I don't know about Nvidia, but for AMD you can assign games to the graphics card.
