Some players are using a second WoW window to log into their account. This causes the character in their first window to disconnect almost immediately, escaping danger such as ganks. I am curious if this is considered bug abuse. It is similar in effect to entering battlegrounds or porting in and out of dungeons to escape combat, which seem to be condoned as people (largely Horde) have been doing it since Molten with impunity. The difference is that your character goes offline and it is a bit slower.
I'd appreciate clarification as to whether or not this is permissible behavior.
So far as I know, this does not violate any rules or conditions. It's little different than escaping by force-closing your WoW application.
Alt-F4 to escape pvp has been a tactic in use since the original retail days of these games. The punitive aspect of the game is that doing this in a battleground warrants you a deserter debuff. I don't see any philosophical or technical reason why it should be punishable in world PvP; it could be considered mildly counter to the role-playing ethos to be able to disappear from existence at a moment's notice, I suppose.
.... so give him a minute to think your gone and wait on the same spot he logged out, he will still get back at the same position with the same amount of health.
