I sent a plate heirloom to another char and it turned into a mail?

Heirlooms adapt to what the character can wear. If they don't yet have the talent to wear plate, the armor shows as mail and automatically turns to plate when you are able to wear that.

Oh thanks I just got to level 40 and still wondered why my character couldn't wear plate forgot that I had to buy the talent, thanks for the answer :)
