Can I change the xp rate I get

I’m not part of the staff, but there’s only one answer to this question: NO WAY.

The XP rates are fixed for each realm. If you want to level up slow you can play on Lordaeron as it is 1x realm or you can use the experience lock feature on and off at your convenience.

You cannot change the rate. You can, however, halt the experience gain.

My Account > Services > Realm/Character > Coins > Experience Lock

Experience lock allows you to enable or disable experience gain.
