    Are Ah addons now bannable?

Hello, I've been banned yesterday while I was mass posting on AH trought addons, reason: "using botting programs". I use Auctionator, TSM and QuickAuctions, the process is semi-automated because you need to give the "go" to the addon, but once you done it, you can literally afk and it will mass-posting everything. I always stay on pc and I reply to every whisper (unless its a gold begger, in that case I have addon that filter the message)
From what i've heard these addons are not illegal to use, and I saw many people sitting AH more than me, not sure if they are using some bot but they look weird (also they going back and forth between AH and mailbox always on the same route).

So my question is: are the rules changed? because I wanted to create another toon to play AH but if the addons are now prohibited there is no point in loosing another account. Can I have some detailed info?

    Thanks let me know

From all I know the rules are still the same since 2016 and can be found here

It can be considered as an exploit since you are having an advantage over other players.
    Check under "NO BUG EXPLOITING".

But if you think you shouldn't be banned. Feel free to make a ban appeal.
You can do a ban appeal here here

Be aware that bans originated from Sentinel Anti-cheat cannot be appealed.

It's not supposed to be bannable and it has never been bannable on retail. Addons alone can not be used for botting because of the technical limitations that Blizzard has set. In wotlk addons can post auctions without interaction from player because that's how Blizzard designed it. If that's suddenly not allowed anymore, there should be a specific rule against it.

A player with DBM or similar addon has advantage over a player without DBM during boss fights. It doesn't mean that one of them should be banned for it.

Retail and Warmane have different TOC. Warmane holds the right to ban you if it considers you are using an exploit.

Although, I agree with you that this shouldn't be banable. I use Auctionator and never had problems and it posts all my items at once in the AH.

All the best and good luck with the ban appeal.

Please remove your poorly informed post. AddOns 'can' automate things (even with the old LUA of the Wrath client), which they shouldn't (are not allowed to) do. Blizzard does NOT allow automated selling on AH and will get you banned as it is in violation of both their ToS and Eula.

The Auction House does allow you to post a single-time limited amount of identical auctions, not several different (even if identical to previous) ones.
Every identical but seperate auction requires a player's input, even if you make the same auctions every day, several times a day. Filling out the auction form can be automated. Posting it can not.

Please show me which WoW API function can automate something it shouldn't and where in ToS it says that you should not use it.

Functions don't magically appear in WoW API. Blizzard intentionally puts them there and they choose which ones require button press and which ones are only available to Blizzard UI. Why would they intentionally add a function without button press requirement and make it bannable to use it?

On wotlk posting auctions requires no input from player at all. It was added during Cata I think. Auctioneer addon can do it. It's called batch posting and it's located in Appraiser tab in Auctioneer. You click on the button and it will automatically post auctions of every item you have added to batch posting. Auctioneer was the most popular AH addon for wotlk. Why would such addon have a feature that players were not allowed to use?

The ban can be appealed but I really can't imagine any bot ban being based on an addon. Like it was said above, the wow API is technically limited in what it can do, even functions that cast a spell or move your character that you might be able to use in a macro are requiring hardware input before executing. That being said, even I use an auction addon on a daily basis.
