Burning Crusade Ban then unban ? dont know why, missing golds

greetings yesterday i wasnt able to log ingame and at website i get informed that my IP was terminated due to advertisement i dont know about anything what i did wrong so i wrote email etc... in the morning suddenly i was able to log but in time of login my ingame currency was zero 185+g legaly and fairly gained gone ... im new player on this server so for me it is a lot :D and i dont know what happened if someone was logged on my acc or anything ... so id like atleast some info about reasons leading to that ban so i can prevent these troubles for the future and of course id like those golds back :D please....thx

Someone logged on your account, took your gold and advertised something. Lost gold can not be restored. Change your password and consider enabling 2 step authentication to make sure it doesn't happen again.

i dont think that the security fail was on my side ... and im sure no one can get to my email so ... and if someone would be doing this im pretty sure he would delete my eq and would take golds even from mailbox .. those were there i think that the ip ban was possible due to vpn software , and gets zeroed between ban and unban process , but i may be wrong.... thats why i need more info from gm which may be able to look for more atleast i hope so ... why golds cant be restored ? i mean in case they werent stolen but as i mentioned .... sry for my bad english im czech

Gold doesn't simply disappear. Everything else you mentioned could happen because you used a VPN. But if gold is missing, someone took it. Warmane only restores lost items if they were purchased with coins. That's why gold can not be restored. Even if the security problem is not on your side, 2 step authentication can protect your account. If you want someone to check what happened, you can make a support ticket on website here or send an email to [email protected].

yep thats where i started immediately and after few hours i was able to log but i didnt get any providing mail or info or anything so i still dont know ... i hope gm should be able to see who logged in (IP) and where did the money go so thief should be trackable .... but it doesnt look like that ... is this ussual here ? i dont have even taste to farm and exp any more at 50 lvl this is Scr*w Out to F*ck with me like that ... fast mount fond gone ...

There are multiple forum threads about this every day. My accounts also had a few login attempts, even after changing password. 2 step authentication stopped all of them so that's the best way to keep your account secure. As you can see, accounts that shared the IP were banned so they are trying to do something about the stolen accounts but I don't know how far they are trying to track it.

you are trying to tell me that on server is not backward trackable where did he(thief) send those golds trough mailbox or with which character it was traded and than revert it .. they cant remove them from game ... or ? :D it sounds like nonsense to me but may be im wrong

They added more logging some time ago. But there is no information what exactly is logged and how they are using it. You also can't know what exactly the one who stole the gold is doing to mask his activities and where the gold is actually going. It could be sold, some of it could be sent to random people to mislead whoever is trying to solve it. And the one who did it can get a different IP, make/steal new accounts and keep doing it.

Ur dodging that two step protection with all ur might dude,so this post should be ignored for following reason,it's your fault and none other,you probably don't know your email password or ur playing on friends acc or smth so u can't get acces to email to set two step,if that's not the case,ur simpy too lazy to turn on two step,so u got what u deserved if u ask me.

This is a game you need to invest a lot of time in,in order to earn something,so make sure you take every security measure you can in future.

show me where i said something against two steps of course now i have it activated (sadly not before all this happened) but it has its own .... that wasnt only thing what was this all about ... yep i missed it im playing for a few days after many years break and i didnt knew about that possibility ..... but if i would get atleast some words in process or some reply on emails when they unban my acc atleast some short text this thread wouldnt even existing ... but now i know how that sh*it happened and as you said it was my fault but in a different way than you think.. even that thx both for your replies... ps:Ojbreli /applaud i forgot you were born knowing everything cg and about those reasons you named lol im not ***** if i wouldnt know my email password or having friends email etc ... looks like you know what you talking about :D

I just speculated few possibilities,seems like one of them was right,about you being lazy to do two step.No need to be angry about it now.I don't know and can't help you with your ban situation but if i understand correctly it's a new acc so u didn't have any hardcore characters on it i belive?So i would suggest if u don't get unbaned u make new acc and start over with taking neccesery security steps beforehead,if you are willing to go through all that again,u can maybe try a different class this time,etc,but anyway good luck!
