Huge latency issues while playing WoW but my internet is fine.
Hi.
I've started having huge latency issues lately (from 200 to 1000ms) but my internet connection is fine.
I've tried wired/wireless connection, playing on different PCs, restarting the router, deleting Cache, WTF and Errors folders, disabling AddOns, disabling firewalls, opening router ports, giving WoW high network priority, even redownloading and reinstalling the game. Nothing seems to work.
I've done internet speed tests and the results are fine as usual, very low latency and very good download/upload speeds.
This issue doesn't seem to happen with other games (50ms in games like League of Legends) or anything else at all. Everything works fine except for WoW.
I don't know what else to try, could anyone help me out?
maybe your isp bad routing, and WoWserver distance. Warmane server located at Europe i believe. south american / SEA wont be able to get less than 110-150ms. 200ms is good enough. i use cyberghost (vpn target: german) to fix my high latency problem ( 500ms ++ )
I suspected it, I'm Spanish too. There was a botnet attack from Spain to OVH (the company that hosts Warmane world servers) that had been going on for a few days, I suspect it was because of yesterday's Barça-Madrid. This is from a few days ago:
The match occurred yesterday, today it looks "normal", so see if your latency problems are over.
Same situation here. I think there's a latency issue with the game itself..have had bad latency 500ms - 1000ms for 1 week now and have done almost everything.
my latency is stable 30-40ms and i am located in denmark, i dont believe it is the servers itself but rather the location of the invidual that causes latency issues.
if it proceeds to occur you could try reduce teh amount of loadings by configurating the options within the game, the less to load the higher the latency ( to a certain limit ofcourse ) .
