A couple days ago, on friday 8th, June I recieved a mail with gold from an unknown character and my friend messaging me on skype saying he sent me gold for what I've done from him, the gold I lend him previously and so on, so I just accepted the gold and continued playing.
Not so long after, about 8 hours to be precise, I logged off of the game and when I returned back, my account had already been banned saying "The account has been terminated due to bot".
I had no idea what happened, I made a ban appeal which was opened just until now where the support told me that the gold I recieved was from some sorts of gold exploit and that its no the community's best interrest for my ban to remain.
What I would like to ask is, how do I exactly prevent from this happening if I recieve a mail full of gold?
I do understand that this, what im saying, is just a word against word, but I have not done anything against the server rules myself nor anybody on my account, I just recieved an exploited gold from - what the support told me, got permanently banned for it and my ban appeal got declined from it.
Hereby im here asking as the summer break is just starting, should I actually just quit wow over something I couldn't really affect or is there any chance of my ban being lifted sooner than in one month when my ban appeal can actually be opened again?
