    Buying/Trading Chars needs a rework

Simply Put nearly every char on sale is hugely overpriced (People with only pvp gear, no professions, no epic flying and no gold on the account want over 300 coins) and you have no way of communicating with the seller via the website and have to just wait until they log onto the game to talk/or mail them and wait for a reply to try to sort out a reasonable price. Of which hardly any of them log on ever and probably just check the site to see if its sold or not.

There cearly needs to me a messaging service and maybe even an Offer/Bid button so that the seller can get a notification that someone is interested in there char.

I think the problem is they don't give the exact value to items. For example I put a Rogue full Furious and it was like 250-300 coins idk maybe more. No brained person would buy it. Because I leveled it in 1 day and in 1/2 weeks of battlegrounds and wintergrasp quests I bought all the furious gear. So pieces like that should be lowered in price, even if in the shop they cost idk, 15 coin each, you can't give them a 15 coins value when put on trade. You take literally few hours, maybe less if you're lucky, to get a furious piece. And no one is "rolling" with you, it's just honor grinding. Everyone can do that, and no one is so dumb to spend coins for basically..free gear that require no effort.
Different story for Halion trinkets (example), you have to make a raid, kill bosses, roll the items and be lucky, so the price is worth. If you want something special and unique that require effort and it's likely impossible for you to get it (maybe youre busy with irl stuff, job, etc), it's ok to put a high price (even if I would lower it a bit annyway)
But a furious character for 300 coins is just a joke..even with removing all the gear and leave it naked at 80 it was asking 30 coins, I couldn't lower it. With 20 coins on warmane services, you get instant 80 + Full green set (better than naked), so again, who would be so dumb to buy my char for 30 coins?

Yea there should be some way to contact a seller like a small note

There used to be notes. Now they are gone because sellers lied about the character in those notes.

What about the naked 80 that costs more than the service instant 80 + starter gear? I may understand that you kinda allow only "fixed" high prices to prevent people abusing and selling characters for 1 coin (example), I don't know what is exactly the reason, but can we be able to lower the price A LITTLE BIT? I don't know, 10%, 20% something like this, without going too low and keeping a reasonable price. I mean some characters literally costs like an used car...and they are just pixels..I understand that behind those pixels there might be a lot of work and time spent, but not everyone can afford a 1000 euro character, I mean if you lower the price just a bit you get more buyers overall, right now I don't know how is the market going but for me, it looks like only rich people can afford some decent char. Just my impression..maybe I'm just poor and everything is fine idk :D

Indeed and that was a problem. Still, I agree that there should be some easier way to get in touch with a seller.

I kinda meant the other way around a contact seller note, but I see how I also made this point :s

Allowing seller to add character name for contacting in game could solve the problem. Not a custom note, just character name. Seller could still lie about the character in game but that seems less likely since someone who wants to contact seller would check armory first, which provides almost all information about the character now.

Mounts, pets, riding skill, professions, gold and other things can give additional value to the character and don't increase minimum price. If you want just level 80 with starter gear, you can choose that instead. I don't think character trading was ever intended to be used for chars with no gear at all.

If you want to buy character with full gear, it's going to be expensive. Many people instead sell character with a few BiS items and remove all other gear. That way minimum price goes a bit below total price of the items on store. It's like buying the items with a small discount and getting the character with it for free. Buying characters with non-BiS items currently doesn't make sense because of the price. If Warmane wants those to sell, they would have to lower minimum price for such items. But from what I have seen before, they don't seem that interested in that.

There's another issue in that: people would use such contacts to try to make deals outside Character Trade, be it with real money or gifted coins at a lower amount, not only putting themselves at risk of getting scammed, but of getting their accounts permanently banned when caught. If someone thinks this isn't true or that I'm exaggerating, I'll just say you don't see the amount of deleted threads from people wanting to advertise selling their characters and being open to "negotiating the price."

It's already allowed to advertise character trades in game, which can lead to the same result. I have seen some of them saying that they will gift some of the coins back, which I believe is against the rules. If someone was hoping to get such offers, they could just spam about their character trade in game.

I can't speak for what happens, is allowed or overlooked inside the game. I speak for what isn't allowed in the Forums and why, as well as understanding that same line of thought might be applied to the Trade tool.

Obnoxious makes alot of valid points so how about just being able to bid on a char, some of these guys puts absurd prices they will never get a deal from.
Either they can flat out accept the bid or maybe lower it themselves cus they know someone is interested.

They could just add a + sign or a - sign which has a counter so know how many people are interested /find that character pretty good but want to buy it for lower price.

That way you would avoid all problems and you can adjust the price accordingly.
And you can't abuse it anyway since it only shows amount of people interested.

This could easily be abused because people will compete to sell their chars.

Having a system that would send in-game mail or a forum private message could be useful.
