Technical An ancient player, coming back?

Hi, I am an old player on Warmane, i played the server since it was "molten" and continued playing after, i even have other accounts, but some time ago i stopped playing wow generally, and i am not even sure how long it been but according to my purchase history the last purchase i made was 2 years ago. anyways i wish to come back to the game but i can't find any of my old characters, most of them were on Frostwolf (the characters i made and played with after the recovery from the hijack that happened years ago). so is it possible that i get my characters back somehow so i can come back to play on this server? or the characters are lost forever? i had so much progress on these characters, i bled and sweated to create and improve these characters and i really wish to recover them..
