Technical I can`t change the video settings on WIDE, it always resets at normal

when i start the WoW , i go at settings then video and try to change the resolution on WIDE (laptop) and after i press ok/apply appear wide for few sec and then resets at that square form, and I downloaded the WoW again and i have the same problem ( after i download , i play few hours and then i have this problem again)

Try this:

1. Rightclick on wow.exe
2. Leftclick on Properties
3. General
4. Attributes: read-only
5. Deactivate the field there (erase the hook)
6. Approve/OK
7. Rightclick on wow.exe, starting wow.exe as administrator
