Technical Constant hanging/Giant lag spike (latency), problem isn't my internet connection

Hi everyone.

I used to play warmane alot back in the day (from when it was still molten) and i enjoyed it alot.
The only realm i play is icecrown (WOTLK) and it has always worked fine.

i took a break about 4 years back but now i returned and i like that alot has been fixed and such but there is 1 game breaking issue for me right now.
Every few minutes the game will just hang (everyone running in place but i can move) then after about a minute everything that happend catches up and i can see a boss fight that took 5 minutes happen in 5 seconds.

my friends tell me that they can still see me running and casting but all i see is everyone running in place and nothing happening anymore.
I already checked my own connection (playing other games or checking the graphs) and it isn't my own connection because everything else runs smooth as butter.

Sometimes it's so bad that i have to ALT+F4 my game because nothing works anymore, then i restart and all is well.

Does anyone know a solution or have a similar issue?

It's most likely packet loss. Client can not process packets if a previous packet is missing. It might not be a problem with your internet connection but it's something in the middle between you and the server. There isn't much that you can do, other than trying different internet connection or using a VPN (preferably one that gives you a dedicated IP so you don't get banned when someone from the same IP breaks rules). It could also be a problem with your local network, especially if you are using wifi.

Yea, happend for me bcs of WIFI. You can try to use Lan cabel and get connection directly if you dont use it right now.. Other than that never had problems like this
