How to gear at level 80

The question is in the title, once I get level 80, what do I do to actually get better gear?

Farm RDFs / RDF HC if you can and farm emblems. FOS / POS farm as well. ICC Rep farms for your ashen ring. Be lucky and either find a gearing guild that would take fresh 80s or you randomly get invited into VoAs. I got myself from fresh 80 to 6k GS in a month.

Before you can RDF HC:

- Farm rdf nm for items
- Faction reputations are an option too, and you get some gold doing it
- FoS PoS can be an option if you have a group of friends willing to run you through it

Once you unlock RDF HC, spam the heck out of it until you get everything you need from EoTs, then do fos pos hc for the remaining item slots. After that it's raiding time - best try to find a guild around this point.

First objetive, get to 3.3gs more or less.
You will gear with 2 type of coins:
emblem of triumph (you can buy 232-245 gear with this one)
emblem of frost (251-268 gear)


without requeriment:

Look in AH for neck, ring and some off pieces. (all 245-268 items). Don't waste more than 3k per piece.
Get honored reputation with ashren veredict and buy the ring in icecrown citadel.

Do the weekly leviathan quest in ulduar (5 emblems of frost)

When you get the item level for heroic dungeons (3k - 3.3k gs)

do the daily random dungeon (2 frost emblems).
Do the weekly dungeon quest (2 frost)

When you do heroic dungeons, every boss give 1 emblem of triump.
So in this point you can farm dungeons for this coin.

The "top dungeons" are forge of souls, pit of saron, hall of reflections and trial of the champion (also know as = FoS, PoS, HoR and ToC)
This dungeons have 200-232 ilvl gear, so you can farm them specifically.

So in the end you have full 232, with 245-268 off pieces, so feel free to gem and enchant at this point.

you can raid now and keep getting your frost emblems sources for get the 251-268 pieces.
