Hello, I have few questions about interaction between faction changes and achievements. More specifically, I am on my way to do Loremaster achievement and I am currently kind of stuck on 590/685 quests on Kalimdor, I feel that all that is left are long dungeon quests. I was wondering if switching my faction to Alliance will keep my current progress of quests progress since that will open many new quests for me and make getting Loremaster easier.
Also I've seen in sticky topic that it says that faction change from Alliance to Horde is unavailable (Topic is from 2017) but I'm pretty sure I saw people switching that way too.
TL,DR:
Can I switch my faction from Horde to Alliance to make Loremaster achievement more easier, then switch back.
Also if it is possible, is it in any way infringementing rules and policies of warmane?
I did Loremaster of Kalimdor on horde a year ago. There are more than enough quests. Get some addons, for example, EveryQuest and EveryQuest QuestGivers, and you will find the missing quests. Dungeon quests don't usually count for Loremaster.
Faction change is available on Icecrown. I don't know about Lordaeron. When you change faction, most faction specific quests are reset, which will lower your amount of completed quests. But some quests might remain completed so you might be able to do more quests after faction change. You won't be breaking any rules by doing it. So you can do it with faction change if you want to but it should not be necessary.
Thanks for reply, I have EveryQuest, but not EveryQuest Giver, I'll check that out too. Is there 3.3.5 specific version of EveryQuest becouse my current shows a lot of quests that are no longer available in 3.3.5, (for example quests from 3.3.0).
There seems to be a version for 3.3.5 but I have not tried it and I don't know how much is changed there since it seems to be released on same day as first Cata version. I am using the version that is for 3.3.0.
