WotLK Northrend makes my game crash every 5 minutes

I've been dealing with more and more frequent game crashes and I'm starting to be at my wit's end.

It seems like being anywhere in Northrend makes my game crap itself. It seems to happen more and more infrequently the more time I spend in a zone, but Storm Peaks and Dalaran are a complete no-go. The error I keep getting is that the application is requesting too much memory.

Yes, I have tried uninstalling/disabling all my addons.
Yes, I have tried turning my graphics down. As low as potato, as a matter of fact.
Yes, I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game or using a download from a different source.
No, I do not have an out of date computer.

Is this a problem with the server, or could there be something happening on my end that I'm not thinking of? Thanks in advance.

are you using WoD models? usually they cause this kind of problem.

Here is a guide to delete them:
1. Open WoW folder
2. Open the Data folder.
3. Delete the patch-w.mpq file.
4. Delete the patch-x.mpq file
5. Open the enUS folder.
6. Delete the patch-enUS-w.mpq file.
7. Delete the patch-enUS-x.mpq file

I have the same issue for every new character I get into northrend. On my main it is completely fine by now even though howling fjord was absolutely unplayable as I first arrived there.

I hate the WoD models anyway, so I'm gonna try this. Just booted the game up after deleting the files, let's see how this goes!
