Greetings, my name is Thomas. I used to play back before the Molten reset, I have been here for about a month now I instant leveled and starting gearing immediately. I was ready to raid in no time as I have years of experience in this patch. My experience with ninja looters has been outrageous, I'm no dummy I follow the rules and pay attention to certain things and kind of get a feel of the raid I'm joining. I believe a 5 day ban is not enough. I think ninja looting should be handled a little more seriously. Players just don't care... 5 day ban for a BiS item, I mean seriously Warmane this is common sense, what do expect people to do? There is legit players who just play to have fun and obtain there gear from hard work and grinding, Just to get ninja looted for an item you have been trying to get for months or for some people years.
Something needs to change. I've been here less than a month or so I have lost so many items. I don't even feel comfortable doing a raid unless I'm recording, and even then they just get a 5 day ban and get to keep the item.
1. Dungeon ninja, shortest punishment is 5 day ban. Guessing the follow-up bans are 10/15/perma.
This is to combat people needing on gear they don't need for spec they didn't join in as, or for gold/materials.
2. Raid ninja, shortest punishment is a 30 day ban. Repeat offenders will get 60/120/perma.
This is to combat people stealing raid items.
And how did people gear up before there were these rules? How did you gear up on Molten?
Get a guild and stop thinking that someone else should fix your ****.
With guilds, pugs that were formed by trusted members of the community (high ranks in well known guilds).
Having a ninja thread here at forum, with a file of players who to avoid for your blacklist addon.
"get a guild" lol, like that should be the answer to everything? Perhaps people should spread what's good in guilds around the server.
Guild - community of people who are "on the same page", with similar interests and goals. So you find people who dont want to get ninjad to raid with.. what do you call that? A guild. And only person who is fixing something is player himself. Each player takes care of their **** and everyones **** is taken care of, these is no **** anywhere, god damn magic.
What, do you think "ohh mean bad evil toxic people from random global chat didnt play as I WANT plis ban!" is gona fix his problem?
Well, of coarse. There are all kinds of people, and it is very unlikely that first guild you join will be "the one". Guilds split and disband because they can't agree on loot rules. If I join a guild run and loot is not distributed according to rules agreed upon - farewell, will laugh at your dead guild after 2 weeks.
Evidence and stuff is all cool and great, but why would anyone set themselves to be victims in a first place? What was that proverb, "you make your own luck" or something.
I could go on ramble how these rules destroy extremely important mechanism underneath social interactions within topic[raiding and stuff], as this topic so brilliantly displays. But staff will get mad at me.
