Technical Old account hacked

Hello,

I have an account that was probably hacked. I received an email about this account which had a sentence: "The email has been changed from*******@gmail.com to *********@gmail.com." 2015 - 08 - 23

I just tried to login and I used my old password and it worked, but since its been a long time since my last login the password was expired and new password was sent to the hackers email.

Could I please get help with this. I have both email addresses and username of the account and the old password that I used.
