Hi guys, today i did a dungeon (the nexus), and want a 'moralic' oppinion from you guys.
What happened:
-Someone just queued for the dungeon because of a specific quest, i'm not sure which one.
-The tank prefered to go an unusual, but maybe a bit quicker route which omits this quest, he ran through the frozen endboss right at start.
-The Questguy asked if we could do the questroute which is i think the normal route.
-The tank replied "no time!"
-The guy then said that he joined explicitely for this quest, and asked us to kick him.
-The group refused to do so and insisted in him doing the dungeon or leave
-He insisted in getting kicked, propably to be able to queue right again without deserter penalty.
-After that, some flaming occured.
-Dungeonleader asked all to take screenshots and report
-Guy replied that devs can see chat anyways so this was futile.
-Guys dps was also very very low, so i could assume that he didn't participated in fights so much.
I don't use names here, because i don't wanna talk bad about anyone, i'm just interested in you guys oppinion on who did wrong here.
My personal oppinion is that we should simply have done him the favor of kicking him. I tried it once but it didn't worked due to infight, so i just asked them to chill. It wasn't even heroic, it was leveling time.
My impression of this server so far is that toxicity occurs, but much less than on other servers. i've met some very very generous people here, who for example took their time to kill an additional elite mob in the dungeon after it was finished just so i would get my quest when i still had it, and they didn't even wanted anything for it.
If I wanted to do the quest and others didn't. I'd just go with the group, or leave myself. Demanding kick and not playing the RDF is against the rules. You can always make a premade group and do a nexus quest run.
If I got asked to go out of the usual route to do quest on the side. Depending on mood, the party (slackers or not), and how much time I can invest to simple RDF. I might agree to help or not, but I'm not obligated to do it however. Much of it depends on how it was brought up. Ask nicely and you might get your wish, be rude and demanding and you're on your own.
He should have just went through with the group. We all know he is going to que up for another dung right after this one and besides it seems like the party was going to get it done fast anyways. Sounds to me like a cry baby.
