1. Weird frame rate drops during daytime only

Hey guys, just wanted to ask for some help regarding this weird issue I have, maybe some of you have better luck than me. I keep having these weird frame rate drops every time I play during daytime, during the night (8pm) the game runs fine, but in daytime it drops frames constantly, from solid 60 to around 24 at random times, and they last for longer or shorter periods of time. I don't believe there is a latency issue because the connection it shows to be fine. If someone can give me a hand in this, or has any idea would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance and have a wonderful day
Note: This applies to the entire game, including menus and everything.

  2. Maybe it's some addons scanning stuff in the background? Like the one that tracks population statistics (classes, levels, numbers), it spams /who and can both eat up a lot of memory and bandwidth.
Try disabling vsync if it's on cause if you drop bellow 60 it cuts to half, so you might drop to like 50, but it limits it to 30 for a second. Maybe you're dropping down to 54 but it's limiting.

  3. Thanks for the response :D I tried to disable the vsync but its a little awkward 'cause of the screen tearing, I will give it a try and see how it goes. I find it weird though that it happens only during the day, At night its fine. As for the addons, is there anyway to solve that spamming thing? I also tryed the frame limit command in the console, but it goes below that as well

Update: It didn't work, still drops from 60 all the way down to 24 at random

  4. Frame limit is upper bound, it can't go over that rate, but it can (and will) dip under.
Try with addons disabled, then enable one by one, see when the lag spikes appear.

And even at the end of the day, wow (3.3.5) is back from 2010, it wasn't planned to take advantage of all the things modern processors have, it runs almost the same on 1st gen i7 as it does on 9th. If you don't get those spikes in instances/bg/arena consider it good enough.

  5. Ok, thank you! Will consider this :D
