1. Warmane has security issues

However Warmane is storing passwords is horribly insecure. No matter how many times I change passwords for these accounts they will promptly be logged in from new locations. Thankfully Google isn't terrible so they can't actually gain access, but the fact that Warmane is leaking everyones passwords nonstop is still a major security concern.

Also increase the potential password length. Why is it so limited? Although as long as passwords are continuously leaked it doesn't really matter how long it is.

Somebody really wants all my ****. They have attempted to login about 1000 times now.

Password max length is also a client limitation set by Blizzard.

  3. They should probably fix the leak then.

  4. You get those emails even if they input the wrong password. Seems like a shortcoming of the WoW client which they can't modify.

  5. Funny ive never had any attempts to login from other locations in my 2 1/2 years here.

same. been here since 2011 and never once had someone else try to login to my account. it's almost like warmanes security is fine and it's the players who are slack.

Neither have I. That's what they get for using usernames like "hunter1" and similar bs and people try guessing passwords.
And this *****ic calling for "warmane leaking passowrds" and being up on their high horse "they should fix the leaks" when there's no leaks, 16 character limit is hardcoded into the client, passwords aren't (believe it or not) stored in a .txt file, the most that can leak is hashed password (and it's not just that), I've posted mine in an earlier thread, go ahead and log in with that.
Someone guessing your password is your problem caused by you, not some evil hackers you see in movies, don't use stupid usernames and stupid passwords and you'll be safe.

  8. People trying to get into your account ≠ people getting into your account. First one is nothing to worry about.
