WotLK Is Lootbanned normal in this realm? how to define a mistake of being Lootbanned?

Hi,

In a raid, I was told "Lootbanned". I am new in this realm, so: Is Lootbanned normal in this realm? how to define a mistake of Lootbann?

I want to know such "Lootbanned " is defined as what? mistake to do something, e.g. not kick a casting or something?

If successfully finishing a raid, and i have contributed the appriate dps (according to the gs rankings), is it reasonably "Lootbanned"?

Or "Lootbanned" must be said before the raid finishing?

Such details may be annoyed or confused for the new guys. To make it clear may help someone like me to understand well the game community here as i think.

Thank you in advance. Just want to know more rules in this realm.

"lootbanned" for that specific Boss, usually.
When Raid Leader think you have not done your job at that Boss, you have been afk or you have done some huge mistake

Example:
As Ranged Dps you do 0 Dps on Beasts at Saurfang > Raid leader says "you are lootbanned" = you will not be allowed to roll for Saurfang's drop.

Just be lootbanned for a WHOLE raid of 25 TOC. Very confused about that.

The leader always wanted to kick me but haven't found replaced guy.

By checking the gs rankings after finishing the reaid, my dps and total damage are indeed both reasonable (by checking the recount recordings).

I was lootbanned for all items dropped by all bosses.

Confused me a little because I also think: "lootbanned" for that specific Boss, usually."

How far in were you when you got told you were lootbanned? Did he give any warnings either in chat or over discord that failing to do xyz would get one lootbanned? And also were you a pug in the raid?

NO any warnings before finishing the final boss.

My dps and total damages (from recount) were reasonable corresponding to the gs ranking (even considering I died 1 time).

I hadn't had the 25 n achie, but the team had no enough guys so it said "3 more, just first come first in" blabla.

I was added in. First time to encounter such situation.

WIll avoid such team in future.

This is, I will ask "is it free to roll for each boss" before a team begins.

A 25 n TOC raid.

I am a rogue, gs 5233 (low gs ranking in the team: about 23th).

total damage ranking (19 th, ever died 1 time in the begining of "faction champion"; dps at 17th)
damage in Anab'Arak ranked at 13th (dps at 11th). no one died in Anab'arak.

I don't understand what the reason was for you to get lootbanned. Because you didn't have achievement or failed at some mechanic?

Today a Moonkin Druid got lootbanned in a toc 25 raid because he lied about his gs (3k gs instead of 5.4k). He got free eot and achievement for sticking around.

I dont see any reason why you would get lootbanned at all. It might just be that the leader didnt want you to get any loot but who knows.

I was also confused.

Maybe I forgot to use kick for something (only a rogue of mine, so the leader kept looking for a replacing in the "global" channel). Even without doing that, I don't think it should be lootbanned.

Are you sure you even need any items from there in the first place?

Hmm im not sure there is any rule for lootbaning someone in a raid. Its different for each leader, however if they lootban ppl without reason they likely will get called out for it and other players will know to avoid them. Any special loot rules should be stated before you start the first boss or when you joined if bosses already have been downed

25 n TOC has a lot of leather, 1st back, 3 rd feet, 4 th hand and the emblem.

Well good lesson for you, don't join shady pugs. Find people with whom to raid, guild and friends. It is like a night and day contrast, just remember no one will keep you in guild if you dont know wtf you are supposed to do in raids, and let me give you a hint - being top dps is just a side-effect of what every guild seeks.
