1. Real reason why Outland and Frostwolf died

cuz u had to close Neltharion. Everybody on Frostwolf felt like they are the next one to get their realm closed. With that in mind everybody left. Cuz why invest time in a realm that is low in pop, they're going to close it anyways. Outland felt the same. Once you close those two, Lordaeron will be the next. Domino effect. When we talk about it, why arent Frostwolf and Outland already closed? They are even lower in pop now than Neltharion's pop at the time of closing.

  2. Server is boring, hard to say that but... same thing over and over again. BIS chars, going in bg farming or get farmed.,.. 70% with Shadowmourne...

    Something needs to be done.

  3. Real reason is the Cata/MOP get old too fast and people leave. This is why there have not been popular mop or cata realm for years already.

Like what? There isn't any more content to push out.

  5. Well, for one side we have cata with dragon soul as end game and the bias to pandas in MoP, in the other you have like 3 servers with decent optimization.

in the case of frostwolf was/is a buggy server, doesn't deserve the attention of players interested in MoP at all.

  6. Dragon Soul was that one where you had to peel the dragon scales off using fire elementals, right? That was cringeworthy.

Keeping realms on costs literally 0 (an unpopulated realm could be hosted in the same physical server a populated realm is and it wouldn't be noticeable). Fixing bugs in the MoP realm, on the other hand, seems like a complete waste of money.

  7. Well aren't you just the prophet?

    Costs nil.

  8. I mean, even if you are just cherry picking changes from trinitycore, that is still work that has to be done, no?

  9. Its not a waste of time to fix mop because there is always the possibility to release it again or use the core for future projects. Nothing has been decided yet but the fact is that mop is being worked on

  10. The fact that regular work was being done on the mop core struck me as really, really odd. It didn't even cross my mind to consider you might be contemplating to release another mop realm. That's... interesting.

(Yes, I know that's not exactly what you've said, but it's still interesting)

Yes because if you think about it Mists of Pandaria was the turning point for the game into becoming what it is today. A lot of the systems used then are still in use today (titanforging, flex raids, scenarios (actually got baked into questing and are heavily used for big story moments), zone progression systems and end-game daily quest zones). Personally I think it would be a waste not to use mop and just scrap it because of that. As I mentioned the future of mop has not been decided yet, but it is being worked on regardless of how many players are still active on the realm
