1. Money vs leveling

    Hi all,

I've been playing for maybe 5 hours today and I'm already level 16 (in sure that's slow) and love it but I'm finding my level vs gear vs money is very different.

For instance I only have quest rewards for gear and about 40 silver.

Is there a point when you start to get gear relevant to your level as you level up so much faster then official servers or am I missing the point?

  2. Are you playing on Icecrown? If yes, you will not get relevant gear because the leveling is too fast there and you will most likely not have enough gold for trainers since the realm is ×7 xp.

  3. Yeah! I'm on the x7 wotlk server.
I'm loving it though! It kind of evens out after a while ( I'm LVL 20 now) because even though you level fast you still can't own mods higher level then you so you are still restricted to zones.. just move through them faster.

Get a farming profession (I bet mining would be the best), farm some basic mats with it and you can get 100g+ within an hour.

  5. Hi, I came here to give you a small tip on how to earn money as a lowbie. And you can trust me, when I say this, but earning gold even if you are low-level is super easy. You might be wondering how you can do that and the answer is very simple - action house. Heliox gave you a good advice - gathering professions in general will help you sell some materials for a nice price. You should also loot the mobs and the treasure chests and sell the items (either in the ah or to vendors), some of them may earn you a lot of gold. Whenever I get a green item, I always sell it for 5-15 gold. I assume some people are interested in disenchanting them.

Now, I will give you an example with my last toon. One month ago I decided to level a tauren restoration druid with herbalism and inscription, because I have never picked up the latter profession. Before I even hit level 20, I managed to sell some ingredients, herbs and eggs and I earned around 60 gold from doing this. And I wasn't even trying that much. I have seen some beggars whining about not having enough gold for training and the game being too hard. Don't be like them, you can really earn money easily if you know what to do.

  6. Farm mining just like 99% of this server does. Even cloth users have started mining because there's almost no profit in herbalism. Also prices for titansteel bar have dropped which is a shame.

  7. Take 2 gathering professions, both mining and herbalism, while you're leveling. Sell everything, cloth, ores/bars and herbs. That should be more than enough for spells and a mount eventually.
Once you're at 80 and you can make gold easier, drop one, or even both and level something that you like.

  8. Go to Westfall farm some cooking meat like Coyote meat, boar ribs, Small eggs from dragonhawks outside Silvermoon if you're horde. They sell for a lot.
