1. Is using AHK allowed?

As the title states, is using Autohotkey allowed here?

  2. If you intend to automate anything more than you can with macros then the answer is no. I remember asking about milling herbs or prospecting ores, answer was nope.
And if you're reaching for AHK you probably are.

  3. What if I want to use it as a "turbo" button. Essentially hold down a button and it would be recognized as mashing the button I am holding.
It is just automating the mashing process and not movement, mechanic knowledge nor reaction time.

  4. Be my guest and do it, just don't post here if you get banned for it. Whatever you're using it for, you might get banned for it.

  5. Obviously I won't do it, if it is bannable. That is why OP and me are looking for a concret answer.
Some posts say it's not bannable, some say that it is

  6. "MAY get you suspended"
And yet, multiboxers running freely, with multiple automated characters. Maybe it is not an identical concept, but it is still 1 player controlling multiple characters.

To be sure, just make a support ticket via account panel and ask for a YES or NO answer. All replies above are not reliable, as none of them really know. Neither do I.

    Wait for staff reply.

  7. If a turbo button was an intended feature, Blizzard would have added such option or allowed it through addons. Which means that Blizzard would consider it against the rules. And since Warmanes generally follows Blizzards rules about 3rd party software, it would be considered against the rules here too.

Multiboxers can use external programs that copy their key presses to other WoW windows. No turbo buttons, no delayed actions, no additional processing within the external program to decide what to do with the key press depending on situation (other than rebinding the key to a different key for each character or sending a specific key press only to specific characters). As long as 1 action by the user results in no more than 1 action immediately getting sent to each WoW client, it's allowed.

  8. Old information but from a GM.

Having a program that presses a key for you automatically is not instantly bannable but it's a grey area and can still in some cases can still lead to account suspension. What we look for and deal with is people who use a bot that either will completely play the game for them while they do something else, or will automatically press commands for the player the moment an NPC or another player tries to do an ability. Another example is jumping or doing an ability to avoid being marked as AFK in a battleground, what you have described however should, theoretically be alright since what you described to me is more or less like a turbo button on one of those peasant devices I think they call a third party game controller. To me this fine as long as you have to make the decision of when it is being used, and you have to hold down the button to make it work.

This actually answers OP's question (=No) and resolves "issue" with multiboxers.

So does this mean turbo keys are not bannable in any case? or, are there few cases that are still bannable? also why are not these infos in faq?

  11. There's no info because some ******* is going to pretend to be a lawyer and say "oh, but faq said THIS is not allowed, I only did THIS but with a small twist"
Use it but don't get carried away and it should be ok.

Yes, I want to use it to fastly and repeatedly "interact with the target" keyspam to "roxi ramrocket" npc, but I wrote an Ingame ticket and GM said that is against the rules to use turbo key for that purpose and report any evidence of people of using it. And then I also see this answer "To me this fine as long as you have to make the decision of when it is being used, and you have to hold down the button to make it work.". To me it appears all doubtful and not clear at all, so all I can see is that some players are using it and some players are not, and tbh imo it should always be forbidden, no matter what programs or hardware you are using to spam your key, if you do that you have to be banned. Actually the only thing to report evidence is asking to someone if he's using 3rd party software or keeping track of self spamming speed and make deduction. How should I report evidence of it? There will be always someone that will be using his undetectable software. what I'm going to do now is to open multiple tickets and report multiple people and tell gm to check them, it's not possible that some people have to take advantage over the others using softwares. My point is or you let everyone use turbokey and then "interact with the target" will make everything run around the rng, or you forbid it to everyone (like it is) and better spammer win.

  13. And the point is it's dealt on a case-by-case basis. There are no hard-set rules so, as dolcokidol said, no one tries to loophole around the wording and then complain when they get banned anyway. With some common sense you should avoid using in a way that gets you banned. If you are in doubt if what you want is okay, chances are it isn't.
