Realms Perfect time to revive Lordaeron PvP

Hello! As everyone might have noticed, yesterday Lordaeron reached population cap of 12000 players.
This is a great time to take some actions towards reviving Lordaeron PvP scene.
By reviving i mean doing something with crossrealm situation.
Crossrealm was implemented as a feature to deal with Lordaeron's low population back then.
Now with lordaeron reaching population cap, it's obviously no longer necessary.

Now a little on current Lordaeron PvP situation and feelings about crossrealm from active PvP player point of view.

Arenas are challenging due to the fact that we are playing with a handicap for not having gear, and requires a lot of skill to progress in your gear.
On the other side, amount of players with enough gear to be competitive on crossrealm scene are incredibly small.
Which makes arena experience for majority of Lordaeron players completely awful.
Personally, I cant speak much about arenas since i stopped playing them due just being tired of having to compete versus players that got way better gear than me.

Crossrealm bgs are just terrible. It's a big NO. As was stated above, players on Lordaeron greatly lack the gear.
Yes, we do have instant queue times now, but do we have fun? No. Majority of Lordaeron PvP players refuse to do bgs.
In the past we had queue time, but it was not that bad. Bgs just had their time of day.
Now we have no queue times, but we dont play bgs anymore. Nobody likes crossrealm bgs.
You cant even make a full Lordaeron premade due to again - lack of gear.
Before someone shows up with excuses like "outsmart them" and "skill > gear" i have to say that people are the same everywhere.
All realms have bad and good players, Lordaeron just got less gear. And here it matters.

Crossrealm was a big hit for Lordaeron PvP community. Majority of players left the server/stopped playing PvP.
For over a year since crossrealm became a thing i havent encountered a single player saying that they're enjoying the feature.
I understand why crossrealm is still here, Lordaeron PvP just died. People got tired of playing in unfair PvP, i cant blame them.
Lordaeron is turned away from PvP to the point where new players not coming here with any plans to PvP.
Something has to be done and good time for this has come.

My suggestion is taking Lordaeron away from crossrealm battlegrounds for this season and see how it goes.
Since arena season already started, removing crossrealm feature mid season is not a good idea.
Best will be keep decision about arenas till the end of season. There you will have stats from and can make finall decision about Lordaeron and crossrealm.
Lordaeron got the people now, make our PvP great again.

Lordaeron's population increased due to recent quarantines because of the corona virus and that will end sooner or later. While I do agree that crossrealm is terrible for Lordaeron, it most likely won't be removed until a point where we have constantly high playerbase. Besides, wouldn't moving Lordaeron from crossrealm require more tweaking with the servers considering that BGs are now played on separate one?

I see your point but Lordaeron just isn't there yet population wise for staff to consider removing Lordaeron from crossrealm.

Removing cross-realm would be a step backward. The goal should be to improve the system instead of removing it.
There are different options to make PvP more fair for Lordaeron players.
- Implementation of a third gear based BG bracket for +6k GS players.
- Lordaeron arena players are only matched against Icecrown/Blackrock players with similiar gear.

I dont know none person in Lordaeron that want keep the crossrealm. In the forum, just players from ICC/Blackrock want keep Lordaeron in the crossrealm, as seems as kidnapping

Staff please, RIP the crossrealms OFF for us who have been working hard in Lordaeron to get any good GEAR! we dont want the crossrealms which is unfair for us!! or AT BARE MINIMUM implement the BG/ARENA BRACKET for 6K GS PLAYERS.

This+ ppl join, they lvl, they leave. Virus did make server more active, but pvp?pve? No. There are multiple threada about "how to download". Meaning, most come for a peak, not for the end game.

Great post with some excellent points. Crossrealm did destroy a big portion of the PvP on Lordaeron. Instead of facing similar geared people, you are now facing BiS donators and superior farming guilds that farm you the whole BG. This isn't a nice thing to experience. Then we have arena, which is absolutely terrible. Extremely unbalanced and unjust. No matter what your rating or MMR is, you will either face complete noobs that die instantly or high-end BiS players that kill you in 4 seconds.

I hope Warmane rethinks its decisions and tries to tackle this issue and annoyance. Warmane could at least provide us with a voting poll so we can vote on whether or not we want to stay or not.

i was gonna bring 3-4 friends to play on lord, but now that i know there is a merg in pvp i wont play on warmane. whats the point having a server like lord only to play against donates?
and leveling up the gear so its more fair? whats the point of playing then?
close lord or stop that merg. there are no other options.
