1. Wotlk WoD client graphic settings/sound issue.

    Hello everybody,

I am new to this, so far amazing server, and I have recently encountered a rather annoying issue. I have a problem with Wotlk WoD ready to play client that was downloaded through the warmane link. The problem is as follows > 1. Whenever I run the app executable, it reverts to default settings (meaning 1024*y + standard graphic settings) -> It is time consuming to always set it up to requied standard + certain settings cannot be achieved without reseting the 'game'. + there is the issue with loading the login page, since there is always a cinematic before, which is annoying and lately doesn't even load.

    2. Recently, the sound doesn't work, not in login page, nor in game.

    3. Steps taken : Classical approach of deleting cache, running as admin, making exceptions in my security. BUT, the system, specs, apps didn't change since i have downloaded the ready to play client.
    - Tried to locate any configuration file in the executable folder, to no avail.
    - The sound issue is particulary difficult for me to grasp, since it seems completely random.

Thanks in advance for any piece of advice that you can provide to me. If it is a known issue, then I would like to apologize. I am a new member so i don't fully comprehend the structure of this forum just yet, hence i thought it neccesary to write this ticket. If this text contains any mistakes or confusing text, then again, i would like to apologize. I am not a native speaker.

    Enjoy your day :-)

  2. Follow these steps:
    1) Restart your PC
    2) close your Torrent client and move your WoW folder away from your Torrent's download destination
    3) now right click on WoW folder> Properties> remove "read-only"

Btw I recommend you to use Wotlk with old models.
The one you have downloaded has some issue:
    1. Crashing in Dalaran
    2. Gnome mount unusable in a City
    3. In arena your enemy might be invisible

  3. Solved. Read-only attribute was the culprit. Expected something more complicated i guess. Thank you.

  4. Had the same issue. This worked for me as well. Thank you!
