Hello people, did you got banned for scripting or hacking? Yes, me too.
I want to make a clear discusion of that why we got banned and what do you think are the reasons. Let me tell you my story.
I was not able to play the game for like 15 to 20 days and one day i just decided to long in and see what is going on and what i saw was that my account is suspended and there is 3weeks and 1 day left. Thats mean i was away from the game for 1 week then i got banned and 1 more weeks after this i am logging and i'm banned. How it's possible to get ban even if you are not playing? I don't know thats why i opened a "Ban Appeal" in the website. After 2 days i finally got respond. What they said is that - My account is clear from any softwares which can cause me ban(That was ok), but then i saw that due to "Nature" fault, they are not interested to remove my ban. I was angry and this moment and i even opened a ticket ingame and they ofc did not helped me even to understand why im banned, nvm let continue. 20.03.2020y. i was unbanned i was playing all night with all my characters (i have like 7characters) and i was doing ICCs there was no problem, till this moment. At 21.03.2020 we start prepearing for the guild run we made the group, we went to ICC everything is fine and when we started the first boss of ICC in the first minute i got Disconected. At first look i think it's just normal DC but when i wrote my password again i saw that my account is suspended.... This was nightmare i instantly logged in the site to see that my account is banned for scripting again for next 4weeks and 1day. I was so mad i'm still not able to open ban appeal i wrote in-game ticket adn waiting for respons (even without respons now i know that i ahve to wait 4weeks again), but im trying because its not fair. My account was unbanned for under 30hours before get banned again thats unbelievable.
Some people says that it is cuz of Addon which can get detected and you simple can get banned for it. I think this is the issue too. But when i was banned i was playing in my friend's account with same addons and everything and his account is not banned. That was strange for me too.
Some people says that it might me a macro with "/script" in the begging which some people use it to fix their addons.
I re-install my game and i don't have a single Addon atm and hope that Warmane will see that my account is clear and i'm not using any kind of scripts consciously and they will unban it, but who knows.
Let me know if you have the same problem and lets make this conversation clear so other people can see what is going on or/and try to solve the problem because we don't want to get banned every 30d for no reason.

I'm literally your same experiences. Now i'm playing with no addons at all, and i will see if im going to get banned or not.

Yep, same here. And I also noticed it when it was a 3-week ban, so just like you, I got banned while inactive. I reinstalled Wow too, added only newer addons that most people use, like skada and dmb, and deleted all macros. If I get banned now, well f me if I know how I'm hacking. I see that new wave is coming though, I wonder how long until somebody starts to care.

Got exactly the same situation , so i really wonder when staff will start care about this problem there is lot of ppl concerned by this issue , even if iam a big donator that doesnt change anything the time they answered ban appeal is so long they should hire another person. they said ban appeal its not their priority but we do donate like everybody and when u are not guilty that scandalous to wait 7 day to get an answer wich can be negative . So if moderator or forum administrator could transfer this information to the staff we would be really grateful because if iam getting ban again for no reason iam srsly thinking about leave the server

Imo anti cheat system on warmane cause more problem than it resolve. Smyth got to be overbooked with ban appeal he got to review a lot case that didnt deserve a ban and people spam thread on forum so moderator got to move it and i still see some scripter on warmane so ur system not really efficient i guess

Ban appeal won't do anything, don't even bother with it. We all appealed the first time we got it, and we all got the same message - a copy/paste from ToS. They won't tell you anything. We have more chances here, but not much more, since they just keep deleting these threads, easier than caring and answering, i guess.

Hello agian guys this is little update from yesterday.
I found something which sounds interesting. Since of this CoVID-19 appear and everybody are home and playing from they computer both realms are full and even with more then 1k ppl queues, OK that. Here we 2 reaseons for banning people:
1) They try to free the server a bit bcs they have a lot of ppl inside and its hard for them to manage.
2) They are banning ppl cuz of (1st) reason, but its way to get extra money cuz most ppl are adicted and ready to crate new account and donate again.
I have never seen that much ppl banned in the same time. They banned a few ppl over 2months and NOW they are banning more then 10 or 20 EVERYDAY.
What do you think are they trying to free the server and get extra money that way? Did you saw that they dont care that much for this server? Did you see the NEWS section which they supose to update few time in the week maybe cuz its news? Did you thee the snow in the website brackround and its the end of March? This CoVID-19 is trendi right now and they did not even mention it ( they dont have to but every where is something like #StayHome) and they have to support this not even mention it, right? They should stimulate us to stay home by making some discounds or idk something to make you play the game and stay at home cuz of this quarantine. Whats your point of this questions? Again guys take care of your-selves and i will keep uploading new thing to this topic so we can manage to find a way not to get banned and play the game as we supposed to play before.

This would not work. I donated only a month before I got banned, you think I would donate again if they permabanned me? What's the point of donating if I can't play. I would rather quit and go back to LoL. Then again, I'm not addicted, but I think even those who are would not be stupid enough to risk losing money on unexplained bans.
At this point, I think it's some automated system that went to hell and they can't admit it because they want us to believe it's done manually and that they have proof of us hacking.
It's not SexyMap, I think it was RangeDisplay. I reinstalled my entire Wow, added only a few addons, and so far, so good.

Ok i got your point. You are right about donations. It was just a question from my side and your opinion is good but still a few ppl i think will donate for acc to get they full bis character to play. I dont called you addicted, but omse ppl are and maybe they gonna do this thing.
I re-installed my whole game and added only DBM and Healbot so i can heal and raid normaly and made a normla mouseover macros and as you said so far, so good.

I also got a 4 week 1 day ban for "Scripting" I take pride in playing legit and was around for the reckoning that was the anticheat bans when they updated it and banned someone every like 15 seconds. I've reported obvious bots, flyhackers since 2011and done everything I can to HELP the server, be it players, reporting people who cheat/exploit etc.
I also submitted an appeal but haven't heard anything in two days. I know Smyth is absolutely swamped RN and probably needs some help. I'm not a super private guy and participate in GM events, streams with people on warmane and am in 2 of the (in my opinion) top guilds on Icecrown. I would never shine light on this personally but I know several people in my pve guild were also banned with no response and similar stories. I think theres something going on here but not sure what. I don't think its addons though I hear that there was some bot people used that had an addon that was detected, but the only addons I have that aren't from Curseforge are the ones that are backported for 3.3.5 posted by one of the staff.

I play on a 2019 16' MacBook pro with graphics drivers from bootcampdrivers (website) and everything else is default. I only have Afterburner and WoW, Large Address Aware, and MacsFanControler downloaded. Ive also been getting completely random DCs in Dalaran ONLY the last couple of weeks (due to playercount?) Im more than happy to upload any further information needed to get to the bottom of this as well.

You're not going to get anything from Smyth. We all appealed, he will just copy/paste the TOS paragraph about hacking. Mods will not help any of us individually, they need to realize that something went wrong and that we are not all liars here like Obnoxious called us a month ago. Also, you mentioned 3.3.5. - I also played on that patch and copied some of the addons, when I got banned. Maybe that's the issue, 3.3.5. addons causing bans on 3.3.5.a ?

What the guy above me said. They wont help us, in their eyes we're all hackers/scripters/liars/and so called saints that hacks/scripts. Or tjey would rather make us that instead of believing us for once and admitting its something wrong with warmane but instead the moment this thread gets a bit more attention it will be closed and deleted cuz its easy to do that than listen to us.
Oh and good luck on your 4 week ban for the second time man hope you enjoy your time in jail even if you are innocent which i believe you are but.. heh!
