WotLK Stuck at Connecting

I'm unsure of whats happening but my account gets stuck at connecting then Unable to connect. My girlfriends account gets to authenticating than disconnected. Help please.

The influx of players from the world wide virus is likely overloading the database that handle's account data. Just be patient with it and keep trying. Will eventually go though.

Was stuck at connection for about 5min then I was able to log in

I just tried to login to confirm if I'm facing the same issue as you or not and I've had the same experience as you guys so far, and I might have to add that it happens for all WotLK realms not only the higher populated ones.
