Sorry for such a dumb question but.. how do I vote and collect points?

You need to have at least 1000 achievement points on your account

1. If you play only TBC, you can not collect them
2. Blakcrock achievement are ignored by the system

How do you see achievement points? My account is from 2010 and when I click collect points it says "You do not have any points to collect." even though it also says Points: 6.0

Doesn't matter how old your account is. If you don't have 1k unique achievement points on your toons now you can't collect points.

Oh ok, that answered my question. I can see one of my characters have 675 points, one old character from 2010 have 100 points. On a 3rd character I have 550 points. So by unique you mean per character? Otherwise I should be able to collect, right?

unique means the same achievements don't count on multiple characters. if you have the level 80 achi on 10 characters, it's only counted once.
