Why does 2pt10 proc on divine storm feel "laggy" and you cant use it instantly?
Hello guys, just like the title says. Sometimes I find myself trying to hard spam divine storm on procs and it jsut doesnt go off, can end up with 2secs of doing nothing else cause I want to get it on cd but it doesnt trigger? so what am I doing wrong and is there a way around it?
Please help because im getting really annoyed by this now for some time and I just kinda want to stop playing retri because of this single reason.
EXAMPLE: I start with Judgment>Divine Storm>Crusader Strike-at this point 2pt10 might proc aka Divine Storm maybe and I cant instantly use it-why is that happening all the time and how to work around it?
I would like to add that this is almost exclusively happening in raids and not when im solo or on a target dummy. I also dont have lag problems in general, average of 40ms.

First of all melee swing timer has nothing to do with GCD of the spells. Divine Storm has a chance to proc in the end of your melee swing timer/on the start of next one. Abilities like Crusader Strike, Divine Storm or Judgement has 1.5s GCD and it can't be reduced (this GCD is not affected by haste raiting or haste effects). Although your Divine Storm is already proced you have to wait for GCD to go off and then you can be able to use Divine Storm but there is so called "flipping" effect where if you hard spam Divine Storm (which most of paladins do) while you are still on GCD then the spells starts to flip, flip, flip... not showing the CGD while there is still GCD. The lag on Warmane last 1 month also plays big role in this. Anyway try to improve your internal cooldown by trying to press your spells more precisely.
so basically what u are saying is even if my example happens (and it happens a lot) I should wait for a split sec or a bit more before using divine storm again (or maybe even use another ability prior to divine storm again based on priority)?
Also, its not just the last month (yes, lag is ****ty at times but what can we do, it affects everyone the same), it was happening prior to that already...Its just now that im trying to get rid of that problem since ye, I have a lot of patience but it ran thin lately. Anyway, thanks for your input
ok, I think I understand what u mean now. Yes, the issue I was talking about is the flipping part. So how can I work around it? should I track the ICD of divine storm and if so, what addon could u suggest for that if any?
And thank you again for your feedback

It's not about addon mate. There is no addon which will help you. There are indeed addons for GCD tracking but do you think that in process of the fight you will ever track this? or pay attention? As I typed above the only way is to improve your internal cooldown to have some feeling about timers and GCD timer in your head. For example when you see DS is flipping just stop to spam it for a moment and pres it again or switch to another spell according to priority list. Dummy is the ideal tool in the game to test this and improve it. When I started to play retri back in the days I stood hours in front of the dummy to improve not only rotation but also GCD and still no one can be perfect always. This is how the game works. You have to adapt yourself :)
ok buddy hehe, I think we were chasing tails there for a bit lmao since that was my idea from the start kinda hehehe. Anyway, thanks for all the input and effort, I apreciate it :)
