Three people leave, yet I still get DD?

So Im leveling up a mage and doing a dungeon. And like any group ever we hit a wipe and everyone walks back to get their body and insta dips the tank and 2 of the other dps. Well me and the wife go to leave, And after 3 other people have left, I get a 30 min dungeon deserter....I did not want to leave, but when the tank and 2 dps dip....not much we gonna do.

I mean I get if we are the first to leave, but when everyone else gave up, why the punish on the ones that actually wanted to stay the whole run.

Are you sure you got the dungeon deserter and not the dungeon cooldown? Dungeon cooldown gives you 15 minute CD from the moment you enter the dungeon, to promote people actually finishing it. Dungeon deserter lasts for 30 minutes.
