WotLK Unable to complete the quest "It's All Fun and Games" due to a loss of an item

In the quest "It's All Fun and Games" you go and destroy the ocular with a eyesore blaster however the item is not in my inventory as well as the quest will not allow me to abandon it and repick it up off Thassarian meaning i am unable to do my ebon blade rep grind. could you help me out
