Technical Huge fps drops in Wotlk (Fx-6300 CPU)

Hi, been playing Wrath for a few years now, and i noticed lately that my fps started to get alot worse in cities and dungeons in general. I have a pretty bad cpu (Fx-6300) but since the game is 10 years old and used to run very well on my older computer, i am quite confused. So I actually don't know if my cpu is to blame for the really poor perfomances or if the game is simply badly optimised for "modern" computers, regardless of if i upgrade my cpu (which is planned). Thanks in advance! (I play with WoD models btw)

Don't use WoD models, download old launcher and it should work better.

Actually after having checked, i'm using the Legion character models, not the WoD one, does it make a difference?

It's the same thing, doesn't matter. Try running classic (old) launcher.

huh, i tried with the old models and it indeed gives me a good 10-15 fps boost, i'm actually surprised. A bit sad as i really like the new models, but hey, performance over appearance, thanks alot!
