Low-level BGs are a twinkfest from hell. The matchmaking system should consider gear somehow, but it probably doesn't, at all, and you'll be matched against players with 4 times your health instashotting you. Everytime. Enjoy. Oh, and not just huntards. So unless you're a twink, forget about PvP as part of the leveling experience. Moreover, the XP/hr is ridiculously low, so it's not only masochistic but also unrewarding, in its sad current state.

To add insult to injury, as a fresh 80 eager to try PvP, unless you're in the new FM seasonal server, forget about random BGs as well. You'll need to wait until you're at least 5.5 GS. Or else, enjoy having your sphincter explode in a millisecond by 6k players and premades. Right now, the matchmaking system for IC players sucks, due to the recent changes explained in the devlog that took most of my friends by surprise.

Warmane is a good server, I'd say pretty good for PvE, disregarding some slow spawn rates for quests that'll test your patience. However, PvP for newcomers is definitely not its strongest suit, and the rudimentary PvP matchmaking system has plenty of room for improvement.
