Only people who think that are other "milquetoasts". Outspoken minority who don't like some words can drown out the sound of reason just as well. You are giving tools to that minority you meantion to do exactly what you are afraid of (???)
Please elaborate on your strawman argument, because it sounds like you're trying to turn my argument against me by saying racists could somehow take over and get people banned for... I don't know really, non-racism? Also if you don't understand words, google is your friend https://www.dictionary.com/browse/milquetoast

Smart people don't have to put anyone in ignore list, they understand intent under words. They feel like everyone is ok with it? No, circle of people around them who are okay with it will get smaller and smaller with every day until they yell their slurs alone in Trade chat.
Yes they totally understand the underlying intent of words, like when people bring characters named after a nazi salute to a raid: http://armory.warmane.com/search/siegheil

This line of thinking just shows how little you think of people
Yes my opinion of people is low considering I deal with people like this weekly due to making raids or just plain old farming:

Also I don't have a clue what you're trying to say here:
you don't know the basic truth that every person knows something that you don't
Are you trying to describe empathy? Because defending people wanting to use racial slurs is the quintessential opposite of that. If not, congratulations, I now know that every person knows something that I don't. I used to think I was as smart as Bill Gates and Stephen Hawking's fictional lovechild, but you've grounded me. Thanks.

There is nothing strawman there, this thing cuts both ways. Words can have their meaning changed and one day you will end up being "racist", "nazi", "insert whatever word here". And in such a scenario where "racists" take over the system will work for them instead of "non-racists" or insert any categories - whatever twisted way you think.
Instead why not let everyone speak and reasonable thought will prevail. And if that thought is something you don't like - that's what you are afraid of, I guess you actually think that there are huge bunch racists sitting in a treeline waiting to take over the world. Lmao. Your own words split everything into tribes and that is lethal. Superior race vs everyone, workers vs kulaks, racists vs non-racists. Same ****, labels that only purpouse is to divide for conflict.

I would bet he named his char for exactly this reason, for milquetoasts to freak out about it. Or you are ACTUALLY thinking there is some dude with Hitler's pictures on wall playing WoW with one hand and siegheil-ing with other?

Grow some skin, their intent is clear. And you are taking the bait like a chump.

I'm defending your chance to say stuff, even if it offends someone. And believe me, offending someone is as sure as sun raising in the morning. It has nothing to do with empathy, if you make rules guided by empathy you will create hell.

What the **** am I even reading lol. Go take a class on ethics or something; hell, go read Of Mice and Men. Just quit posting ignorant stuff like that.

And yes, that person with that name is a known white supremacist, they have other racist character names as well.

I also save screenshots of *****s like that to laugh at with friends, but go head and keep on assuming I'm a snowflake or something. Making an *** out of everyone at the expense of yourself seems to be your forte.

What exactly is ignorant there? Can you show me one law based on empathy that actually works? I know ethical laws, laws with decency, but I kind of missed any law that exists purely because it made someone feel bad or something, that is just a side effect of being victim.

How do you know? You have met him in real life or know his work in that field? Or you were triggered by him saying some crap in game, means he waisis?

And why did you posted those screenshots? Right, to show exmple how bad people are, yet you say you are entertained by them, exactly as I imagined situation will be. Where is the problem, why do you insist of silencing them?

Eh thats just the internet in general. Its full of edgelords now and a lot of them are forced to stay at home so theyre even more edgy. Just pull the life card or laugh at them for crying about a 10 year old game

Almost every law is based in empathy because they seek punishment or restitution for a crime committed against a victim. Congrats, you just got a lesson on relative ethics.

And yes, I have met the dude and he full-on admitted to being a nazi. That's why I disassociated with everyone that had contact with him because they were willing to look past playing with a literal nazi for the pursuit of DPS. Honestly trying to convey any point to you is futile so I'll be done at this point. You seem to be one of those people that believes you are 100% correct in all of your beliefs and there is no alternative. I have a feeling you're also a pathological liar due to how much you project the idea of everyone else trying to bull**** you.

Thanks for the lesson. I just hope you learn from that lesson yourself. Ethics are principles that guide someones behaviour independent of the law. Relative ethics is dependant of perspective. Calling someone nazi without any proof could be considered ethical by you, but not for me, I see that quite unethical. Relative ethics at the work. But it's not against the law in most places in the world. Law is something society agrees upon and enforces it. There has to be actual damage done, which is the base, not "how bad that made someone feel". It's primary function is deterrence and punishment or restitution is a tool for that.
