WotLK Aces high quest in coldarra

Hello all, im trying to do this quest but I keep dying, im spamming heals and fire shield and following a rotation I saw on wow head, but the damage is unreal and no matter what I do it doesn't seem possible, is it bugged or what am I doing wrong?

I'm quite sure I've done that quest at least once within late last year or during this chaotic 2020. I really didn't have much problems with the drakes. It's possible something may have been changed about them, since I last did it.

I don't know if it helps, but this is somewhat the rotation I used, if I remember correctly):
Gain full stacks of HoT (Revivify, 3)
2 combo points with the spam ability (Flame Spike, 1), and then use the stacking DoT (Engulf in Flames, 2).
Keep stacking up the DoT effect and re-fresh your HoT.
Didn't use any other ability during the fight.
So rotation was something like 33333 - 112 - 112 - 112 - 3 - 112 - 112 and so on. Only using 3 to refresh the fully stacked HoT.
