WotLK Race Change, how does it work if the other race hasn't the class available?

Hi, I was asking myself if it is possible to make a race change from a drenai to a dwarf even if the class isn't available for dwarfs. If for example I want to race change my drenai shaman to a dwarf can I still keep the characters class or am I forced to change the class. I searched for answers on the forum but couldn't find one. I prefer to be sure on such a question before doing a race change. I thank in advance for any help on my question.

Race change has the same limitations as creating a character. And it's not possible to change the characters class. In case of draenei shaman, race change is useless since there are no other alliance races that can be shamans.
