1. is it forbidden ? and is it abuse

From the quest : "You'll Need a Gryphon" we get a gryphon that is faster than 280 speed and is it abuse to use it to fly around icc and the more important question is it bannable cause it can be used by everyone

  2. It would fall under exploiting rule considering the original use of the mount is just to fly it to Uzo and turn it in. Doesn't the gryphon have area limitation?

Limited to Icecrown according to google search.

If I remember correctly, on Warmane, can be summoned only in Icecrown region.

Btw on Warmane is too fast. According wowhead comments and retail video it should be way slower than +280% fly mount

Yea it is summonable only in Icecrown but for sure it is faster than 280% ( i tried it already)

  6. Even though it's bugged, I don't think anybody would care to report you if you just cruise around on it. If you start using it to find people to kill or gather herbs/ore, that would be something else.

Abusing it cause of the speed would suffice for a ban probably.

  8. Initially, I was going to say, that if the mount looks like any other, people might not notice it and they could let it slip through. But after checking the quest, I don't remember a purchasable gryphon in the game, that looks exactly like the one from the quest. So, imho many people will notice the unusual mount, some might even become suspicious and file a report.

I would like to post a screenshot of a GM's response, that answered a question of mine regarding exploiting:

I'm sure some users here can recall seeing this ss recently.

So, the first half of the first sentence describes your question, OP. Using the gryphon outside its intended area with the higher flying speed is considered a bug abuse and thus this act would be punished, if it gets investigated by a GM.
