1. Is it a valid ban reason?

Hello guys, don't worry it's not a topic where i'm complaining to be ban for something, no, i'm fine, but i saw some homophobic behavior during a raid and i was wondering if it was possible to ask for a punishement in regard of this behavior? Obviously i have some screenshots to prove my point, should i send them directly to a gm?

  2. Take screenshots, upload them to a site like imgur.com unedited and then open a ticket for a GM to check.

    How to do it

Dont worry. GMs never tell who reported.

  3. you can check here "in-game" rules http://forum.warmane.com/showthread.php?t=65037

Btw to report players you need to open a ticket in-game (with proof)

  4. Thanks for your answers! I have opened my ticket and will now wait and see!

The adult thing would be to look the other way. The fact that you are excited about this is disturbing.

The adult thing would be to not tolerate such a behaviour.

The adult thing would be ignoring the player, and then making a report, if it escalates. After sending the said report, move on.

I understand Valestia's point, we shouldn't dwell on some fool's homophobic comments. We know it's just poorly executed trash talk, and bad at that. People shouldn't be so sensitive to negative social experiences..

  8. It also depends on what was this homophobic behavior. Nowadays even going "dude, that's gay" can get specials throwing a fit and calling it homophobia. So yes, make a report if you believe it warranted one, but keep in mind it doesn't mean an automatic ban and there's always the possibility it will be considered you were just overreacting.

  9. Well, there was a guy on my guild who upon hearing where I was from started spouting alot of racist comments in /whisper.
I quickly ignored him and sent the screenshots in the guild's discord, and he got gkicked REALLY fast, even when he had much higher guild rank than me, and alot of guildmates suggested I report him to GM, which eventually I decided not to.

My point is, while most people don't care about small jokes on global or guild chat, there is a line where most of the player-base won't tolerate that behavior. I highly doubt that anyone would complain about small racist/homophobic jokes in chat - even when they are a bit offensive - but if someone complains about this kind of behavior, you can assume the violator did pass the line. Most people here are adult, and while hearing the n-word, or homophobic terms are quite offensive, they understand that it's unavoidable considering the nature of the internet.

  10. Unfortunately, you are mistaken.

Case in point, I deleted a thread maybe half an hour ago of someone wanting to report a player for telling them "suck my ****."
Yes, that was it in the screenshot, nothing else.
