new to warmane/issue with update

hello all,

recently got tired of retail PvP with all their bull**** changes and crazy amount of grind and wanted to give WOTLK private servers a try.

i downloaded the game and when i log in, it suggests an update but always fails right away.
how is it poss to fix this issue?

Connect with ur username not with ur gmail and should work.
