As the title says, how often we should delete our WoW Cache folder?
For an example, every day, every two days, once a week etc etc?
Thanks.

when you have some issues.
It may have sense to do it after a server update (when fixes are up). Which happens usually every monday/Tuesday for Wotlk Realms.
In most cases there is no need anyway. So, as I have said before, people usually do it when they encouter a weird bug in-game which may be caused from their side (instead of server side)
You must NEVER delete the Cache folder if everything is running well. Otherwise you'll constantly have to redownload the content while you're playing which can result in a number of inconveniences such as no item tooltips in vendors/inspect/etc and/or temporary game freezes when logging characters.
As stated above, only delete the Cache folder if you're experiencing issues that are more likely client-side rather than server-side.
Hello,
I forgot to mention that I play on Blackrock realm, some players there told me i should delete cache every 3 days and some told me i should delete it once a week.
So i am confused and i asked you guys here on the forums.
I don't know who to believe to be honest. :D
Good Afternoon. :D
Can someone tell me from the staff how often we should delete our cache folder?
I need an official answer from an official, because everyone says differently.
Regards.
You are not going to get any. Some of the changes they do require players to remove the Cache folder, but those changes are not made at regular intervals, so they can't tell you to remove the folder once a week or whatever.
Delete it every 46 minutes for the optimal annoyance during gameplay, I love waiting for item tooltips to load.
You can increase alchemy procs from Mastery if you delete cache. So you have to delete after each flask/potion, for max profits.
Also, you ahve to properly exit the game each time for it to work.
You both love to troll, don't you?
I am asking a serious question and i am getting troll answers as a reply, i delete my cache folder once a week, more precisely every monday.
Am i doing it wrong or is it okay?
Just answer me correctly and then this thread can be closed...
I never delete my cache folder. It is used for Addon data, keybindings, chat settings, interface settings. Only do that for specific problems, try to pinpoint them and only delete what's needed, otherwise you will go crazy redoing all your settings.
In that case, the thread should've been closed after the first two replies, as they more than adequately answer your question. It's just that you're asking a pointless question(again, explained why in the first two replies) and you insist on receiving an answer that does not exist, since, AGAIN, the cache folder is not something that should be regularly deleted. Should we repeat this a bunch more times or will you finally understand where the answer is?
