Since nobody opened this up yet, I'll do it.
Did anyone figure out how to complete "The Living" quest? I killed Blackbeard 2 times with 2 different groups (one 40, other 25 man) and got no quest credit or new conversations with Davon in both cases. Naturally people that managed to turn in the quest and got credit refused to even respond to anyone.
So I'm asking you, anyone here managed to complete it? What are the rewards?

The quest makes no sense, no location or clue is given where the letter could be located....

Some people told me the Blackbeard drops it and that they got the item autoplaced in their bags.. I did it twice as I said and I didn't get anything.

killed him 3 times (why does he have 97 million HP? that's wayyy overkill???) and abosultely nothing. I even killed him 2 times completely smashed drunk and guess what? nothing.

So i just killed mal'ganis in the raid. he dropped like 7 items shared with the raid to roll on.
for me it was
flag of ownership
spectral tiger mount
2 cosmetic toys/items
3-4 lvl 60 items for transmog
kinda dissapointing compared to last years event where everyone is guaranteed mount!
although they want you to keep logging on each day for the raid. it has 12 hour lockout so you could farm it daily.
still this is day one of the events so cant rly say anything about it, its still allot of fun.

^^^well glad someone actually got further then Nightmare that is doing the ****ing "The Living" quest...
I just tried again, 25 man raid, drunk, killed Blackbeard...and..NOTHING.
What is wrong with this quest?

Where is the blackbeard guy ? we actually only maganed to kill one boss in the raid now im saved for 10+ hours

Blackbeard guy is for the Spirit of Arthas questline and he's located in Sholazar Basin as the 3rd or 4th quest in the chain.
Makes little sense to require a raid for the raid event AND a raid for quest event. There's no content for players wishing to experience something alone.

After killing blackbeard, the quest [The Arrangement], you can't complete that scouting quest while in the raid. Everyone had to leave, complete it, and regroup.

Just joined a raid group to try again for attempt #5 to complete THE LIVING after the reset you did for hotfixes!
Entire raid was drunk. Only 25 people in raid. We kill him near the flag on the boat...annnd the same result. The quest did not complete.
Please...****ing fix this catastrophe of an event.

Finished this quest chain and as expected, its waste of time. All you get is pet kekw

We are working on this. A fix can be expected shortly.
A free gift and some content to keep you warm for the season. But, yes, you can consider it as a waste of time. Naturally, it's entirely optional.
