1. FPS drops

I recently factory reset my computer and after I installed Wotlk for some reason my game's fps keeps dropping every few seconds and it is unplayable. It didn't do this before the factory reset which makes no sense. I have tried reinstalling it, disabling all my addons, restarting my computer. removing threats off my computer with an anti-virus, updating my drivers and nothing has worked so I don't know what to do. Here's the specs to my computer below. Any feed back would help.

    Processor: Intel(r) Core(tm) i7-7700k CPU @ 4.2GHz
    Ram: 16GB
    GPU: GTX 1070

Btw it seems this issue is caused by the latest nvidia drivers. So you may also downgrade to the previous version to fix the issue

It wouldn't let me roll back my drivers for some reason so I instead reinstalled them and it seemed to have fixed the problem. Thank you a lot for your input.

I updated to this driver version and the issue is still there with Hardware Cursor enabled. Some Nvidia driver update started causing this issue, probably around a month ago. Sometimes it's not noticeable but sometimes it drops to like 5 FPS when moving mouse quickly. If you have FPS visible on the screen (ctrl+R) you should see at least some FPS drop while moving mouse quickly, unless you are not affected by this issue for some reason.

I don't seem to be affected then.

Tested with enabled and disabled hardware cursor, no FPS drops.

  7. Thank you, disabling hardware cursor really helped, but its still running worse than before, and I cant rollback my drivers... What do I do?

EDIT: I reinstalled the latest drivers and now I don't get fps drops anymore, with hardware cursor on
