1. WotLK: Missing fishing pools

So I hadn't played in about a year or so and when I was last on I had been doing quite a bit of fishing in Howling Fjord. There were 2 places I was frequenting, Winter's Breath Lake which had about 7 or 8 fishing holes around it and a stretch of the coastline that had about 5 - 7 fishing holes. When I came back on and checked the lake I found 1 fishing pool with nobody else fishing there, I waited around for a while to see if the pools would respawn but nothing did. I then went down to check the stretch of coastline where I had gone before and not one of the fishing pools were present, again I waited for a respawn but they never came back up.

I used to do fishing laps at the lake, starting at one point and working my way around, by the time I made a full circle of the lake the pools would start to respawn. Same with the coastline, I would start at one end and work my way up then run back down to the starting point and the pools would be up again.

Was there a change to fishing that happened while I was away? Any other fishers notice this or have some insight to it?

    Thanks in advance.

  2. I imagine this is affecting the supply of some Cooking recipes as well, for example 'Imperial Manta Ray Steak'.

Anyone going after the 'Turtles All the Way Down' sea mount in Howling Fjord will face quite the challenge with sparse fishing pools on a 10-15 minute respawn rate. Can anyone confirm please if other Northrend zones are missing a large amount of fishing pools?
