1. If your girlfriend acts like a multiboxed character along with your five (as in "mysteriously" she follows "your" characters, acts and reacts in synch with them, the stuff that would make people wonder if you in fact have a girlfriend playing, you know?) you would all be punished. If you're worried we might be unable to tell, simply don't risk it.

There is not one rule saying she cant “mysteriusly” follow any other player in the game is it?

There is not one rule saying she cant mount when off combat just like everyone can do it is it?

If she will be mboxing (playing with 2-5 chars aswell) obviusly her chars will be synced but with their own mbox. But all decent mbox have auto mount when not in combat for exemple and that will sometimes lead to some sync between the two boxers but that doesnt mean its one person broadcasting them all.

And so ur willing to start punishing ppl based on wonder now? This is a very bad policy dont u think? Or u can confirm ppl are not following the rule or u cant.

Thats why im saying for u to make a clear rule that is not subject to human judgement as it will lead to injustice in the system.

And just to make it clear aswell, if the guy plays 5 man mbox in pc 1 and manually play with a sixth char on pc 2 he techcnically is not mbxing 6 chars since they are not synced or broadcasted together (not saying im planning to do this but if someone does technically its inside rule).

Thats why ur rules and limits should be clear coz as min maxers try hard humans ppl will go to the legal limit just like they do in real life. Ppl should not get punished following the rules just because of “wonders” and based only by ppl will without a legal base.

The clear rule is: multiboxing is limited to 5 characters. If you want to run around with more people, it's on you to do so without raising any suspicion that you are breaking the clear rule. No specific guidelines of how you should act should be made and human judgement will remain a part of the process (as with most rules, reason why caveats like "This page does not cover all the rules. If the GM's find an unfitting behavior, they will punish the player accordingly" exist), or people might just use that to either loophole or try to circumvent what GMs "will be looking for." If that's not good enough for you and you don't feel you're able to have actual people not act like a bunch of follow-bots, you're free to play it safe and not aggregate with more players when multiboxing at the cap of five characters.

  3. I

If this change is not removed or we come to some kind of agreement, I guess I will be leaving Warmane with many of my friends who are not boxers. You will be losing many players from the Molten days till now, and no I am not saying I am a big shot and so on, I am saying, think about the other players too that you will lose. Many other boxers has friends too and I am sure Guilds and friends will move on.

If you choose to keep the changes, then I wish Warmane the best of luck in the future and thank you for the Good times for many many years.
See you in a few days.

  4. As a multiboxer that has only ever played 5, and generally does not engage in PvP outside of Wintergrasp, I happily support this decision.

  5. some of us have big families that play WoW together. why not make it clients on per computer based
    Because they don't know how.

  6. Because they don't know how.
I guess because multiboxing can be distributed among multiple PCs. Allowing clients per PC allows you to get around the new rules.

The problem im bringing to you is that YES its going to be 100% suspicious and that doesnt mean it is against the rules.

People will report a lot and they still gonna be wrong in the end coz ur rule does not stop two mboxers to stack or play together watever they want.

If i want to call all my guild mates and tell them all to follow me and assist my main char before there rotation i would be walking around exactly like a huge mbox, i would get reported 100% and in the end it would be all by the rules as its not one person with over 5 chars.

Im just concerned with ppl reporting stacked mbox coz obviously when i start running around with my 5 man team and another 2-5 heal mbox team keeps following me ppl will report thinking its a 7-10 man mbox even tho its not. Or they will realize its two mbox but gonna report because of butthurt anyway.

Its only left for me to hope that after all the reports u guyz are gonna understand whats going on and see its being played by the rules. We already played like that before this change and this doesnt make what we do ilegal now but will sure call a lot of attention since the limit now is 5 and we will be running 7-10 stacked most of the time (two pcs, two ips, two ppl).

  8. If i want to call all my guild mates and tell them all to follow me and assist my main char before there rotation i would be walking around exactly like a huge mbox
    Then don't.

You don't seem to realize, but reducing it to 5 is making a concession. From 5 to 0 the difference is very, very small for us. We are already accepting the much larger loss going from 25 to 5, going to 0 is probably just a push away. You can likely imagine or tell that there are Staff who would go for 0 already - full disclosure: I'm one of them.

So give that some thought and keep it in mind. Trying to push further, trying to test the boundaries, trying to see how far you can go, trying to bull**** into having more then 5... it might all be counterproductive if you intend on enjoying the limited multiboxing we are currently up to allowing.

  9. Quick question I only do PVE and don't care about PVP at all. Will it be ok to fly between raid instances swiftly without causing any harm to other players or do I need to split my raid up in 5 different groups which would take a lot more time and probably not be worth it anymore.

  10. That I'm not sure of, as it would depend on the detection system (which I believe is still being tweaked and fine tuned) and how the GMs decide to handle that, based on the tools they have at their disposal. I do believe it's possible traveling as a band, no matter how sincere your intentions might be, could end up not being possible, again because people ruin everything. There would probably be no way to distinguish who's doing what you describe and who's using that as an excuse to bypass the limitation and then go "*gasp* oh no, I attacked them with only five, but they attacked all 40, and I had to retaliate!" or some crap like that which would fool no one.

  11. Thank you Obnoxious. This is idd sad times for PVE multiboxers. Any idea what would happen if I would continue flying as a single group between raid instances under the radar so to speak. And if I do get caught by the detection system you guys are working on would this result in any harsh punishments directly? Maybe a better question is if you think I should even try doing any more PVE multiboxing.

I don't have the information to answer that, as it would be based on the things I mentioned that might still be worked on. Like, for example, right now if you multibox with more than five characters you don't get automatically disconnected or banned, you're just constantly hit by fatigue.

As to what I think, why not? As Proterean said, players are free to multibox Raids, even with 40 characters. Even if you end up having to go five at a time, that for me would just mean some extra set up beforehand. Personally, though, I'd just replace a single character in the multiboxing raid with a Warlock and use them to Summon everyone else inside. Either that or pay a small sum to a random Warlock to join the group and do the job for me.

  13. As a pve boxer, that how i'm actually managing raid. I log 5 characters (include my main and a lock) and move inside instance to sum the rest 5 by 5. Assuming every decent pve composition already got a lock. It take little more time (and soulshard) to get started. On ghost the limitation have no effect so you can wype and go back with the whole team. Exept for Naxxramas and Eye, since you are rezzed outside you have to deal with the outside limitation, but if you are fast enough, you can return inside instance before killed by fatigue.

Edit : beside this, the limitation seem to be for an area (don't try the size). You can have 5 character in Stormwind, 5 in Ironforge, 5 in dragonblight at same time. So you can log the whole team in standby in different area, if needed.

  14. The only real problem I got with the limit is the miss of access to guildbank with the wholeteam to manage bag/gold/gemmming/enchanting.

Edit : Maybe the limit will be removed in some sanctuary area, like shattrath, later, that could be nice.

  15. Thank you for clarifying I was a bit unsure how the system worked. I think I'll manage using a warlock :)
