Macros are pretty much "shortcuts" to what you want to do. Lets imagine scenario, you want to use trinket+some specific class cooldown, lets say pala wings:
You bind your trinket onto one key and wings on another, so you have 2 buttons.
With macro you just put them both on one button, tap it few times and there you go:
/cast Avenging wrath
/use 13 ;this "13" tells the game to use whatever you have equipped in 13th slot(upper trinket slot)
There is all kinds of useful functionality, like casting spells on specific targets, putting lots of spells on one key, swapping gear, etc
Weakauras is an addon, that gives you options to configure all kinds of information to be displayed for you: debuffs/buffs on you, cooldowns, mana, etc as far as i know, never used it.
As a healer you need to see whole raid. You can use default ingame raid frames, it's not that effective and shows limited information. For this there are a bunch of addons, HealBot, VuhDo, Grid maybe others, it takes some time to properly configure most to get worthwhile use out of them, but they will elevate your game and you will be faster on heals, dispells and support, get better overview of whats going on and such.
How to get addons for wotlk 3.3.5a ? You need to check out download file archive with older versions, some sites have those. In some sites you can choose for which expansion you want addons. Have to search for them.
