WotLK My characters disappeared

Hello,

Just logged in after some months and now my 2 characters are not visible. Are the auto deleted after some time. It shows in the login screen 2 characters in realm but when I choose it it is empty. They were on lordaeron. Is it possible to get back?

Check here for IPs that aren't yours.
If you see a login recently, someone likely broke into your account and deleted them.
You might check here and see if you can find them under character restoration, if not tough luck. Account security is your responsibility and you should've secured it better. I recommend using 2FA to avoid this from happening ever again. As a final measure, you could send an e-mail to [email protected] and ask for their help to restore your characters. In rules it states they won't but it's worth giving a shot. Just keep in mind they (the characters) likely won't have any gear on if the attacker deleted it before he deleted the characters.

The number it shows on login screen is the amount of characters that have their settings saved in your WoW folder, like user interface, nothing else.
