Am I the only one that got irritated by a changelog addressing the shadowforge key? I started noticing when I was on my level 60 tank (who has the key) that all other party members were opening supposedly locked doors and I thought it was odd that a lot of lowbies would have the key, so I went over the changelog and bug reports to see what I could find regarding it. Apparently there were a couple posts of players complaining that they couldn't finish the rdf because no one in their party had the key (submitted as a bug report btw) and Warmane went ahead and removed the key requirement. I'm sorry, but I went out of my way for each and every shadowforge key I have on my alts, so to see it just handed to everyone (wasn't that way in retail btw) kind of left a bad taste in my mouth. Not to mention there actually is a way to obtain the key while in an rdf group, it may be a little bit of a pain but it is also fun and that's the point of the game.
TL:DR: I'm annoyed that the shadowforge key requirement was removed, am I the only one? And yes I know its not a big change but wanted to put it out there.
you're not the only one. Stupid decision to please those cretens with crooked fingers who play so bad to the point that they cant get a stupid key. This is typical "blizzard" move right there.
And for those on Lordaeron - wasnt this supposed to be the "hardcore" realm?!
Used to do the quest for it few times on alts, but never for RDF's sake. Relying on partly out-of-instance quests to be able to complete the instance doesn't fit RDF that well. RDF were meant to be hop in and complete. I rather be able to do those few RDF's without the keys, than go out of my way to do the quests. Alternatively I could just skip the process and level up faster with quests.
It would be real ****ty to sit in queue for 15-45 minutes and end up in an instance you can't complete because nobody has the key to do it.
please someone make a ticket ingame about lockpicking too. my rogue can't picklocks chests in rdf dungeons because the skill is too low :(
it's not fair chest are meant to be opened aren't they ? if i have to move my *** from my couch while rdf it's too much work :(
never had any issues getting the key, 1 corpse run, big deal. people enjoy the adventure getting the key, those who don't leave at the start anyway. Last dungeon that was something similar to "dungeon crawl". This change is for people who won't even get to the door, it's irrelevant for them lmao.

This. And it WAS terrible.
Glad they made the door not require the key tbh. The questline is terrible and all over the place and out of the way of everything. Not worth doing. A welcome change.
