WotLK got banned for no reason yes NO REASON!

its not a long story heres what happened, a friend of mine asked me to download client so we can play together, I Downloaded it started leveling a character, leveld it to 12 then logged off, and now it says that my IP is banned due to advertising, and I havent chatted with anyone posting stuff related to other servers/etc whatsoever, I think I just asked some max level guy what is the best proff I can get for my mage as I'm new to wotlk, he was the only guy I chatted with, I dont really care about the unban but if its that easy to get banned here im actually happy that this happened sooner

Let me guess: You're using a free vpn?

There's rarely "no reason". You might be not the guy to have done something on said IP to get it banned in the first place, but you're using it anyway so you'll end up banned just as well.

Short mail and an explanation could fix the issue. But I guess you rather rant about it and believe you "didn't do anything".

"No reason" .. nope, there's always a reason.
The reason this time (most likely): Landed on IP that was banned for advertising. Common occurrence when using free VPN's.

meh I am using a free VPN actually, good to know that - now I know what happened atleast, thanks for the info sir, I just found it so unfair to get banned for something u havent done, idk if admins can solve the problem but if they cant its fine i'll not use the vpn again, but theres a new question, will I end up getting banned if I use it outside of WoW? like exploring youtube with it?

You can send email to [email protected] and tell them you use free VPN, and landed on banned IP. It's usually relatively quick to get unbanned, if it was indeed due to landing on banned IP thanks to VPN.

You should be safe using youtube and such while on VPN. Only logging in-game with VPN might get you banned on Warmane again.
