Technical The Drakkensryd quest in impossible

This quest can not be completed and thus unlocking sons of hodir rep is unavailable on this server?
When you swap dragons with the harpoon, the game crashes.

So how do you complete this quest? Or is it prevented on purpose??

Your game is likely corrupt. Redownload it or force recheck of files with right click if it's still in your torrent client.

Managed to get it to work finally after dying a lot... not sure if it's my client.

Same issue we had. tried it with different clients, addons off/on and so on...occures totally random but you can get it completed somehow...

had the same problem with my warlock (also on icecrown). during the quest i got 3 crashes which always occurred when i used the harpoon to switch drakes.

I did it recently on an alt. Also had 2 crashes but managed to complete it. Make sure you fly up to the tower, off mount and then from the tower chain yourself to drakes using the item - don't do it from air or your flying mount. That worked for me.
